Terms of Service
Updated November 3, 2026. These terms cover the NepType website and typing apps provided by Anup Dhakal and contributors. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using it.
Using NepType
NepType turns Romanized Nepali into Nepali Unicode and helps you choose spellings. Language detection and spelling suggestions can be wrong, especially for names and words shared by Nepali and English. Check the output before sending or relying on it. You are responsible for the text you enter and share.
Your content
Your text belongs to you. These terms do not transfer ownership of what you type to NepType. Keep a separate copy of important work; local drafts and browser sessions are not a backup service.
Acceptable use
Use NepType lawfully and respect other people’s rights. Do not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorized access or distribute harmful software through the project’s services.
Software licenses
The project’s original code is available under the MIT license. Third-party components and dictionary data have their own notices and terms. Those licenses govern your rights to use, copy, modify and distribute the relevant software or data. These service terms do not reduce rights granted by those licenses.
App Store downloads
Apps downloaded from Apple’s App Store are also subject to Apple’s applicable terms and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement unless a separate license is provided with the app.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains local text processing, saved drafts, optional app analytics and website analytics.
Availability and responsibility
We may update the service, change features or discontinue it. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free output or compatibility with every app or device. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without warranties, and we are not responsible for losses caused by reliance on incorrect output, loss of drafts or interruptions. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that the law does not allow us to exclude.
Other services
Links, downloads and sharing destinations may be operated by other providers. Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of those services.

We will post changes to these terms here with an updated date. For questions or support, contact the project through GitHub. Avoid posting private text or account details in a public issue.
